Directory Guidelines & Privacy

Membership and access

The directory is a Commonwealth Business League member benefit. A person creates an account, verifies control of the email address, and receives member access without administrator membership approval. Business-profile publication and Verified Business status are separate decisions.

Accuracy and permission

Submitters must be authorized to represent the listed business and provide accurate, current information.

Community safety standards

Businesses, listings, imagery, and messages may not promote drugs or controlled substances, alcohol, firearms or ammunition, pornography, sexual content, sexual services or sexually explicit imagery, violence or the promotion of violence, political content, campaigns or partisan advocacy, harassment, threats, hate speech, fraud, impersonation, or unlawful services.

Content must remain professional, business-focused, and suitable for the Commonwealth community. Scraping, contact harvesting, malware, executable content, and deceptive redirects are also prohibited.

Business verification

Verified Business means Commonwealth reviewed the stated legitimacy credentials and found them acceptable at the time of review. Credential evidence may include active registration or licensing and applicable insurance. Verification is optional and is not a customer rating, performance score, warranty, guarantee, or endorsement. An unverified business is simply not verified.

Reporting and enforcement

Configured text rules may hold a profile change for review, and new profile images are reviewed before publication. Member reports create review items and never automatically punish or remove a business. Profile suspension, verification status, and account blocking are explicit, separate outcomes.

Owner self-service and support

Approved owners use the authenticated portal for routine edits. Account recovery does not reveal whether an account or listing exists. Removal and ownership disputes require manual verification.
